Dugout Studios

Dugout Studios The Dugout Studios are a rehearsal and recording facility based in part of Fort Fareham.

Established in 1998 we have built a loyal following of musicians both local and from around the country.

I hope everyone is enjoying this sunny Sunday.

According to Facebook this page has 591 followers. I haven't posted much over the past 5 years as it doesn't seem to engage interest as it used to. However I am going to try to gauge how much people think about the studio by conducting a poll.

Many of our followers would have been in bands that have recorded here in the past 27 years. Do you think that the Dugout should continue as a recording facility or are there better alternatives in the area that are just as affordable?

I value your opinions and they will help me to make better plans for the future.

Thank you in advance to anyone that does take time to give this some consideration.

I had the pleasure in being involved with this music compilation in support of a Parkinsons charity. A broad variety of musical gems created especially for this album and each one priceless (unless you want to contribute with your support of course!)

Very nice to meet new customers at the Dugout this duo perform 80's synth pop in a number of guises. They were kind enough to mention us on their page so I had to do the same. Check them out if this is your kind of bag.

FEMME FATALE: electro synth pop 80s covers duo. YUZOO: Yazoo, Alison Moyet & Vince Clarke tribute duo. WANDERLUST: original electronic synth duo.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe from hellosailoreffects after I purchased a Kossoff Drive. He offered to tweak it for me so while it was away he gave me a few goodies to try out. Three Fuzz Faces that he had built using vintage components, a Gibbons with NKT germanium transistors, a Brazilian Rosewood also germanium, and Wind Cries Mayer which is silicon.

I recorded some short sound samples through a 1979 Marshall JMP Super Bass amp, volume half up so still clean. Here is a link to Soundcloud:-

I hope to make some videos soon to show off these and some other pedals. Watch this space!

If you are interested in Joe's pedals he can be contacted through his page. He's getting a lot of interest and well deservedly so!
