As many of you may know, writing The Spire and getting it out there is my job. It's what I do for a living. It's what I quit my job for 6 years ago and is now my chosen career.

Market sales don't pay the rent alone or feed the cats - donations / subscriptions do. Whilst the other side are raising money for mayhem, AND trying to close us down, we ask for donations to keep the articles coming and sprinkle some counter silliness around.
