✨ Exciting News for Felixstowe Film Society (FFS) ✨

Today I had a great meeting with Janine, the megamind behind Media Pimps. We brainstormed ways to make FFS not just about films — but about community. Here’s what’s coming:

🎥 Weekly Screenings + Socials
We’ll meet once a week at The Palace Cinema, then head to a local business afterwards to chat about the film over drinks/food. Fun, sociable, and a way to support both the cinema and our town.

🎃 Seasonal Themes
Halloween is around the corner — so expect costumes, spooky screenings, and themed discussions. Christmas, Valentine’s, summer… we’ll make it festive all year round.

🏛 Building the Case
Janine will connect me with The Palace Cinema to discuss the best night for our screenings, and she’s also introducing me to a key council contact so we can strengthen the case for the cinema’s future.

❓ Film Quiz Nights
Yes, quizzes are coming! More info to follow…

This is about saving our cinema, supporting local businesses, and creating a space where film lovers in Felixstowe can come together.

For Film’s Sake. Join us. 💙🍿

Programme brochures have now been printed and you may have already picked one up at Suffolk Libraries or your local bookshop.

Last years festival covered a variety of subjects from Agatha Christie to AI. This years festival has a fantastic line up, with authors discussing topics as diverse as murder, manufacturing, musicians and mental health.

Historical fiction and crime are as popular as ever but we also have authors discussing non fiction and biographical works as well.

There should be something for every book reader. This year's festival has a fantastic line-up, with authors discussing topics as diverse as murder, manufacturing, musicians and mental health. Tickets on sale from April 5th, available online and from Felixstowe Library.
