Cancer has effected far too many of us. We look for ways to support our loved ones going through that journey, and for those that know me well, you'll know I'm passionate to bring some comfort and community however possible.

For this reason, I've decided to make the next edition of The Felixstowe Magazine the most meaningful issue we have created to date. Alongside celebrating the incredible heartbeat of Felixstowe and the surrounding areas, this edition will also honour those we love and perhaps those we’ve lost to cancer.

For deeply personal reasons, we're pouring our hearts into making this issue truly special. It will be a keepsake. A tribute. A celebration of resilience, community, and connection.

I've raised this community magazine from the roots up - it stands tall as the only award-winning magazine in the area, recognised for it's devotion to community and the beautiful work of individuals, organisations and businesses, so I am very honoured and proud to include stories like that of my incredibly inspiring business partner, Emma Adams.

We are down to the final few advertising spaces before we go to print in mid-December, so if you would like your business to be part of this special edition, this is the edition to be in.

Feel free to reach out to me as soon as possible, if you'd like more information and to secure one of the last advertising spots.

Much love,

Mandeep
Editor of The Felixstowe Magazine

The Hope to Connect team made a valiant effort for their 💞 PHOTOSHOOT: Human Cancer Awareness Bow on Felixstowe Beach today!! Despite the horrendous weather, the weather gods seemed to have listened and the sun came out just in time!!

These special photos will be used to promote the team’s World Record event on April 11th 2026… make sure you get your tickets as once they’re gone, they’re gone! 🌟

Watch out for our 2026 edition where you’ll see all the photos and video by local lads, George Lex (drone photos and video) and Jon Wills (ground photos) 🌟💕

📸💕 WE DID IT!!!💕📸

Despite the weather 💨☔️ we cracked on for our mini cancer awareness ribbon photoshoot, and just before the cameras came out the wind and rain behaved!! 🌤️ Even a little rainbow popped up to wish us luck! 🌈

Thank you so much to all the super stars that joined us on Felixstowe beach for our photoshoot!!! And to our wonderful drone videographer George Lex and photographer Jon Wills… You fellas are legends! 😇

Thank you too for the amazing public in Felixstowe who watched on and those who patiently waited while we took some photos 🙏🏼🌟

We can’t wait to see the final results, so keep your eyes open in the new year on our socials and the cover of special 2026 edition of The Felixstowe Magazine 💕

This photoshoot is to promote our World Record attempt, the first of its kind in the UK, which you can all be a part of on 11th April 2026. Stand with thousands of people in a moment of remembrance, celebration and hope, in support of all those on a cancer journey.

Oh… you haven’t booked your tickets yet? Get them before they’re all gone! Link in the comments! 🎟️

Much love to all!

✨ Exciting News for Felixstowe Film Society (FFS) ✨

Today I had a great meeting with Janine, the megamind behind Media Pimps. We brainstormed ways to make FFS not just about films — but about community. Here’s what’s coming:

🎥 Weekly Screenings + Socials
We’ll meet once a week at The Palace Cinema, then head to a local business afterwards to chat about the film over drinks/food. Fun, sociable, and a way to support both the cinema and our town.

🎃 Seasonal Themes
Halloween is around the corner — so expect costumes, spooky screenings, and themed discussions. Christmas, Valentine’s, summer… we’ll make it festive all year round.

🏛 Building the Case
Janine will connect me with The Palace Cinema to discuss the best night for our screenings, and she’s also introducing me to a key council contact so we can strengthen the case for the cinema’s future.

❓ Film Quiz Nights
Yes, quizzes are coming! More info to follow…

This is about saving our cinema, supporting local businesses, and creating a space where film lovers in Felixstowe can come together.

For Film’s Sake. Join us. 💙🍿
