TESTCHAMBER released today!

Recorded ambisonically in the historical Q121 wind tunnel at Farnborough, featuring Adrian Utley from Portishead - this is simply an exceptional collection of pieces composed for the space. Making a purchase (vinyl, cassette and even digital!!) will help support the work of MODCAF - a not for profit creative community, using electronic music to make a difference...

Great evening listening to and talking about the latest work of and the at .acoustics.official London. An exceptional experience in -ISA through the newly fitted out 18.1.16 (32 sub) listening room and really inspiring to hear about the community driven nature of the project - a subject close to our hearts over at .cafe.aldershot and MODCAF CIC.

Do you ever dream of doing something different? Are you a fan of electronic music and wish you could experience it in a unique space? Then we may have just the thing for you!
This weekend, you can explore the acoustics of an amazing historical space as the MODCAF community play works composed for the Q121 wind tunnel in Farnborough.
Project Testchamber will feature 24 artists, including guest artist Adrian Utley from Portishead, demonstrating recordings of pieces composed for the Wind Tunnel, which is a heritage building dating back to the 1930s and the beginning of the aviation industry.
Boasting exceptional acoustics, a series of events offer the opportunity for people to explore this incredible space and learn more about The Modular Café Aldershot - a community of people sharing a passion about all aspects of electronic music.
To find out more about events taking place this Saturday (30 September) and Sunday (1 October) including free morning sessions, as well as the Testchamber Live performances on both evenings, visit: www.modcaf.org.uk
All sessions are ticketed, including the free ones, and all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, the venue is unsuitable for wheelchair access.
Wrap up warm, wear sensible flat shoes as there are many uneven surfaces and bring a torch or a phone as some of the tunnel is very dark. Enjoy!
