​Standing in line on a chilly Friday evening outside The Golden Fry, waiting for hot fish and chips straight from the fryer. Crispy batter, lashings of salt and vinegar, and wrapped up in greaseproof paper and newspaper to keep warm all the way home.
​No apps, no takeaway deliveries: just queuing up on a damp pavement with neighbours and walking home with a warm parcel in your hands.

​Nothing beat a proper family day out at the British seaside in the 1960s! Deckchairs lined up along the beach, colourful beach huts, Union Jack bunting fluttering in the breeze, and the whole family wrapped up in cardigans (because it was always a bit chilly, no matter the season!).
​No cheap overseas flights back then: just a wooden bucket and spade, a stick of Blackpool rock, and pure happy memories.
