🕊 Saturday, 8th November 2025
11:00am – Service at the Arctic Convoy Memorial, Cove, followed by refreshments at the Old School House, Inverasdale.

🕊 Sunday, 9th November 2025
10:30am – St Maelrubha’s Church, Poolewe

10:45am – Gairloch War Memorial, followed by a joint service with the Free Church at around 11:15am in Gairloch Church of Scotland

10:50am – Aultbea War Memorial
Hosted by Aultbea Community Council. Everyone is warmly invited to a service at the memorial, then back to Lochewe Community Church for breakfast rolls.

1:00pm – “Jam Jar” at the Aultbea Hotel
An afternoon of remembrance and fundraising for The Scottish Poppy Appeal. Bring your own jam jar and share stories. There will be:
• Nibbles and refreshments • Music to take you back in time • Military model displays • Stories and history from
the Arctic Convoy Museum

🕊 Tuesday, 11th November 2025
11:00am – Short wreath-laying ceremony at the Torridon War Memorial

RWR will observe the Two Minutes’ Silence on Sunday Brunch and again on Tuesday 11th at 11:00am.

🙌🥳 COMMUNITY FUNDS FOR LOCHALSH AND WESTER ROSS

A total of five projects in Highland Council’s Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh ward are to share Community Regeneration Funds worth £186,794.32.

Today (Monday 3 November) members of the Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh Committee approved financial support for the following organisations.

Kyle and Lochalsh Community Trust - £63,839.32
Wester Loch Ewe Trust - £40,000
Torridon District Community Association - £ 35,000
Wester Ross Radio - £30,000
Applecross Community Company - £17,955.

🎉 Congratulations to our delighted raffle winner, Tania Sippel-Kaiser! 🎉

Tania won a signed copy of Annie O'Garra Worsley novel “Windswept” and had this to say:

I’m so delighted to have won Annie’s book in your raffle, it feels like this lovely surprise has extended the wonderful holiday my family and I had in beautiful Scotland this summer.
