Tips for 2026: Young Theodore

Every year we like to focus on one artist so fresh that we're certain you heard it here first. Young Theodore is a 22 year old mc born and raised in Brighton. To date his tracks have included a heavy old school influences that you'd liken to Gang Starr, Big L, J Dilla and MF DOOM. To date Young Theodore has been traveling around the uk supporting larger rappers and has achieved co signs from the likes of Shabazz Palaces, Jadasea and E L U C I D

In 2026 Young Theodore is expecting to get out at least two full length projects, he's also looking to play more both in the UK and further afield. Everyone in the music world needs those vital introductions, collaborations or even just a little bit of luck to make it through the crowded field. We think Young Theodore could become a core favourite for hip hop fans.

Tips for 2026: DREAMWAVE Band

Dreamwave have made a name for themselves across the UK for their energetic live shows and we've been blown away with the quality of their releases over the years. The band met at university in Brighton, however, it wasn't until moving back to Bristol in 2021 that the band accentuated. Dreamwave are currently in the midst of a new release cycle, building towards the arrival of Drifter, their third EP, due for release on 20 March 2026 via Stolen Body Records. The EP will be pressed on 12” vinyl and supported by two dedicated release shows in London and Bristol.

Dreamwave are coming off the back of live shows at the likes of Wyld Paths Festival in Norwich, Down Stokes Festival in Bristol, and a three-show series at Left of the Dial in Rotterdam. Dreamwave continue to affirm their position as one of the most exhilarating acts in the UK psych-rock scene, and with their growing presence in Europe, their momentum is only set to increase. Expect them to breakthrough into the wider festival circuit both in the UK and further afield soon

Ollie Dixon, hailing from the South West of England, has music deeply rooted in the coastlines and natural landscape, creating atmospheric folk that is often compared to the textural genius of Bon Iver and Novo Amor. However, 2026 sees Ollie Dixon truly define his own "Cinematic ambient folk" sound, completing a journey that began with his deeply personal and creatively challenging 'Rebirth EP'.

The EP, which he took years to perfect, represents a massive step forward in production and ambition. Ollie has moved beyond traditional acoustic folk, layering his signature reverb-drenched guitars with arpeggiated synths, ambient interludes, and dramatic strings to craft music designed for the silver screen.

Songs like 'Oceans' and the title track 'Rebirth' speak to themes of surrender, emotional healing, and the courage to begin again, themes that will resonate deeply with listeners in the new year.
