Our funeral home is located on the edge of Saltwell Park in Gateshead. We are here to help

you at a difficult time and are always available to discuss any decisions with you. How we will help:

*Make arrangements, with your preferred officiant and with the crematorium or local
cemetery
*Help you with any special requests to ensure the day is exactly how you want it
*Support you on the day of the funeral and ensure everything runs smoothly
*Be open with costs and give advice on the best value option for the funeral you have in mind
*Give guidance on administrative details that you will need to consider

Pay: From £13.90 per hour

Job description: 8.5 hours, 6-month fixed term contract until 31st March 2026. Casual opportunities available.

Location: Regent Funeral Services, Saltwell Park, Gateshead

Salary: Grade E (£26,824 - £28,142) pro rata

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronnie, of Gladeley Way, Sunniside (formerly of Beech Drive, Dunston), who passed away on 10th August 2025, aged 73 years.

Beloved son of the late Norman and Isabelle Carr, cherished brother of the late Ray, much-loved uncle to Colleen, Kelvin and Keren, and proud great-uncle to Lakeisha, Imogen, Sage and Rayne. Ronnie will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the funeral service celebrating Ronnie’s life at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 28th August 2025 at 10:30am.

Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at Sunniside Social Club to continue sharing memories and celebrating Ronnie’s life.

For family and friends who cannot be with us in person, Ronnie’s service will be shared through a live webcast.

It is with great sadness we announce that Betty passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday 23rd July 2025, aged 79.

Betty was an amazing and loving wife to the late Alex and a devoted Mam to Ian and Debbie.

Betty will be treasured and missed dearly by all her family and friends.

A funeral service will take place at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 14th August 2025 at 12.00.

All are welcome to join the family for refreshments and to celebrate Betty’s life after the funeral at The Nine Pins.

The family have requested family flowers only and donations in memory of Betty to support British Heart Foundation.
