Just when we think we've had our last screening of SOCKS, they pull us back in😅. Thanks to Janis Marshall Reilly, our film is screening this Sunday before the brilliant David Lynch film The Straight Story. This is part of the Dunoon Film Festival and lead actor Paul Kozinski will be doing a short introduction to before SOCKS. So come along if your in the area, this will definitely be our last screening 😃🕺🧦

Its the end of our Festival run for our wee short film SOCKS but we have one final screening! Its a full circle moment for us, as the screening is taking place only a stones throw from the main location of our film in Glasgow's Southside. We are even more delighted that the team at The Small Cinema is screening SOCKS before Aki Kaurismäki's feature film Fallen Leaves on the 22nd March.

Apart from being a Kaurismäki fan, his films have a big influence for our writer/director Daryl Cockburn so its amazing to have it screened beside his most recent film. Tickets can be bought on the link below. 😃🧦🍿

Introducing our next screening - Fallen Leaves, the latest film from the master of Finnish cinematography Aki Kaurismäki.

Fallen Leaves follows two main protagonists, Ansa and Holappa, who meet by chance in Helsinki and try to navigate love despite life’s hardships. With Kaurismäki’s signature deadpan humour and minimalist charm, the film balances melancholy with warmth, offering a touching and unexpectedly hopeful story. Described by The Guardian as “beguiling and delightful,” it’s a beautifully understated take on connection, resilience, and second chances.

In Finnish with English subtitles

Before the main feature, we’ll be showcasing the short film “Socks”. Directed by Daryl Cockburn, this 9-minute comedy introduces us to Morris, a shoe shop owner whose daily unpredictability keeps both him and his customers on their toes.

A little end of the year surprise as SOCKS has won Best Comedy and Best Costume at the Black Owl Film Festival in Turkey, our last film festival! Congratulations to everyone involved and especially Bev Sweeney on her Best Costume award, it was more than thoroughly deserved!! 🥳🦹‍♀️🙋‍♀️🧦🪡🍾🥂

🥳🥳🥳 SOCKS is screening at The HB Film Festival in Paisley next Sunday 7th October and we're doubly excited that it's up for Best Comedy! There are a fab bunch of films getting shown at this festival if you fancy heading over. Link for info and tickets posted in the comments.🙌

Great news that our film will be screening in Paisley at part of the THE HB FILM FESTIVAL 2024 in October. Morris aka Paul Kozinski was so delighted he grew some antlers. Hopefully you can come along and see some great short films.🥳😅🧦🦄

SOCKS has been selected with six other films to be screened at the Il Pertini Cultural Center in Cinisello Balsamo, in Milan tomorrow. Assurdo FF (Absurd) is maybe one of the most appropriate festival for our film so we are really pleased to have been selected and to have it screened😅🥳🧦
