Powerful 1st Class Credit Union The Sunday Post.
Today, The Sunday Post has launched It's Time, a landmark national campaign to help tackle violence against women and girls across Scotland.
Developed in partnership with 1st Class Credit Union, the campaign brings together employers, government, public services, charities, communities and influential voices from sport, music and public life around a shared belief: violence against women and girls is not inevitable, and meaningful change is possible when we act together.
Supporters already include figures such as Annie Lennox, KT Tunstall, Barbara Dickson, Val McDermid, Andy Walker and Michael Devlin, alongside organisations and institutions from across Scotland committed to driving change.
Our Chief Executive Officer, Gayle Lloyd, says:
"When 1st Class Credit Union set out on our Money Made Human journey, we didn’t know where that journey would take us. We are honoured to work with the incredible team at The Sunday Post on this campaign to end violence.
We stand with employers, leaders and the astonishing front cover influencers to say: It’s Time to end domestic abuse.
A credit union is a not-for-profit financial institution, and we offer our members a safe place to save and borrow, but our true social impact is demonstrated in how we treat others and how we make a difference to our communities across the UK.
We participate in this campaign with gratitude to our powerful and wise collaborators, and to The Sunday Post for their determination, courage and hopefulness in bringing this to our news channels.
Lastly, to survivors: you are valued and valuable, and 1st Class Credit Union stands with you."
Gayle Lloyd, CEO, 1st Class Credit Union, on behalf of our Board, colleagues and members.
