Peter Obi — the man who’s about to win the next election… without a political party. Genius move, really. Who needs structure, grassroots, or alliances when you’ve got vibes and hashtags?

While other politicians are busy securing delegates, building coalitions, and greasing the ever-oily machinery of Nigerian politics, Obi seems to be floating somewhere between one political party and the next, waving the flag of “hope” with no real base to plant it on.

Politics in Nigeria isn’t a sprint; it’s a relay. You need a team, not just fans. But somehow, we’re expected to believe he’ll clinch victory with online enthusiasm alone — the same enthusiasm that mysteriously disappear on election day.

Maybe next time, he’ll start with something small… like actually belonging to a functioning political structure. Until then, it’s safe to say his “victory” will remain where it’s most comfortable — on X, not the ballot box
