We’re proud of our very own Tom and our dear friend Cato.
Looking at the comments of this article, you might think that the situation in Flanders is pretty hopeless, angry contempt for Cato’s … hair ?! that’s the most relevant of course.
A boomer’s weird call for Tom and Cato to “go back to school or work” ? As if they know anything of these two activists and their private lives.
I’d like to believe that this is not representative of how society actually thinks, as they say, s**t floats, and Facebook and social media in general always allows for this kind of ignorance to be very vocal. I’d like to think that most decent people wouldn’t be wasting their time arguing on Facebook’s comments.
But it’s time to make our voices heard, share, comment, and participate in your community’s organization, we can’t let a vocal minority bring us down or make us feel discouraged.
Tom, Cato, and Morgan we’re proud of you and of every young activist showing up just because they want the best for our humanity’s future, despite how disfranchised they all are, and how disheartening it can be how much of a circus the situation is, they still show up, and dare to hope.
