Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared that no Nigerian artiste has more hit songs than him.

The Omo Baba Olowo crooner made the bold claim during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, where he challenged any Nigerian artiste confident enough to face him in a hit battle.

Davido said he was willing to stake $1 million on the contest.
“I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me,” he said.

The singer is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most prolific hitmakers, alongside contemporaries including Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, Tekno and Runtown.
As of the time of filing this report, no Nigerian artiste had publicly accepted Davido’s challenge.
Ribsmedia recalls that Burna Boy issued a similar challenge during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

Former Mavin Records artiste Reekado Banks accepted the challenge, but Burna Boy rejected him, saying he was not a “worthy challenger.”
