The Stories We Wear is going to the Cannes Short Film Festival! 🏆 👕

This powerful film about the exploitation of garment workers in the UK fashion industry was based on research conducted by Glasgow Caledonian University London lecturer Erica Charles.

Wait... is that the animation?! 😳

If you’ve never worked on an animation before, seeing a storyboard for the first time can be a bit of a shock. Sketchy characters, black and white backgrounds, zero polish - this can’t be the final film, right?

Don’t panic - that rough sketch is just the beginning! Storyboards are simple sketches showing the main moments of the animation. They're designed to help everyone involved visualise how the film will look - they're not final, and they're meant to change!

Some of our favourite projects are the lo-fi ones - the ones with paper and pens and a whole lot of creativity ✏️

This stop-motion animation was made with young carers from Argyll and Bute from Crossroads Young Carers Cowal & Bute and Helensburgh and Lomond Carers Centre SCIO. They wrote the script, recorded the voiceover and made all the assets.

They knew what they wanted to say - we're thrilled we were there to help them say it! 🌟

Breathe in, breathe out 😮‍💨 Take a moment to follow this guided meditation this .

This animation was commissioned by RASASH to ground people dealing with the impact of sexual assault. It's part of a much longer film, which explores the physiological response to trauma and how RASASH can help survivors.

RASASH said, "it feels like a warm hug" and we have to agree! It's a great example of how animation can be used for much more than just explainers or cartoons.
