🎥 Today we’re launching our new animation series
We’re proud to share four short films created with Media Co-op, shaped by real lived experience from people affected by the justice system in Scotland. These stories are honest, human and hopeful and we hope they help more people feel seen, understood and supported.
Below you’ll find all four animations, each exploring a different part of the journey.
💛 Isolation
When life is turned upside down and you don’t know who to speak to, the feeling of loneliness can be overwhelming. This film shows how one safe conversation can make someone feel understood and no longer alone.
🔥 Fear
Fear of the future, fear of the media, fear of not knowing what comes next, this film captures that intense anxiety and the difference it makes when someone with lived experience says: “I’ve been where you are.”
🚪 Stigma
For many people, the hardest part isn’t the sentence, it’s what comes afterward. Stigma can block opportunities, connection and confidence. This film shows how sharing your story and finding support can create change.
🌟 Brand Film | Turn the Page
Across the UK, 12.5 million people have a criminal record. Behind every number is a real person, a family, a future. This film reflects what Next Chapter Scotland stands for: support, not stigma and the belief that everyone has the right to turn the page.
Thank you for watching, sharing and supporting this work.
Every view, every repost, every conversation helps challenge stigma and bring understanding, compassion and humanity back into the narrative.
💛 Everyone deserves a second chance.
Support, not stigma.
