🎹 Congratulations to the phenomenal young pianist Yifan Wu on winning 1st Prize at the Busoni Piano Competition in Bolzano! 🏆

✨ A semifinalist at SIPC 2023, Yifan has now achieved a remarkable victory at Busoni. Bravo, Yifan, from all your friends in Scotland! 👏

Yifan Wu wins the 1st prize of the 65th Busoni Competition! 🥇

🎹 He performed Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, op. 37 by Ludwig van Beethoven with the Haydn Orchestra under the baton of George Pehlivanian.

🎹 What an incredible day at the Scottish International Youth Piano Competition! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The standard this year was higher than ever, and our jury faced some truly difficult decisions in both the Junior and Senior Divisions. Every performer gave an outstanding account of themselves — congratulations to all who took part! 🌟

🎶 As part of the RCS Piano Summer School, our young musicians have been fully immersed in conservatoire life — enjoying one-to-one lessons, masterclasses, recording sessions, and even a little ceilidh dancing! 💃

After three epic concerto performances in Scotland, Jonathan returned to the United States and immediately took first prize at Hilton Head International Piano Competition, before successfully auditioning to take part in The Cliburn next month.
