I recently had such a great time with longtime pal during a series of impromptu gigs and general good times. This visit proved to be a reminder of the incredible ability Matias has to turn any space into a happening dancefloor. I returned home with a smile on my face, feeling very inspired and wondering when could we do it again??

Fortunately the wait wasn’t long and I’m delighted to also enlist everyone’s favourite 70 year overnight success story, for the occasion. Tony has deservedly been enjoying some time in the sun of late and it is a thrill to present his first London appearance. Something special to behold!

We are about to celebrate our 5th birthday‼️ Large helpings of delusion and determination have helped us operate through constantly changing circumstances. The city / scene is less recognisable than it was in 2019. Venues have opened and closed. Barriers of entry have been replaced by hyper individualism and purity politics. Algorithms have furthered isolation and division. Nevertheless, we’ve continued to support those looking out for others and trying new approaches. Finding commonality is worth striving for. Ecosystems > echo chambers. Who you are > what you are 😊

As each week of new shows goes by, we have welcomed new arrivals alongside scene stalwarts, friendships formed, romances blossomed, babies born, collaborations commenced, music made, gigs played (and paid). There’s more DJ’s than dancers atm, but for a city of its size, Glasgow punches well above its weight with a variety of exciting options every weekend. I’d prefer that over the alternative ♥️
