Hamza Igamane’s time at Rangers has come to an end with a £10.5m move to Lille.

He gave us big moments – goals in Europe and that Old Firm winner at Celtic Park – but frustrations with his attitude left no way back.

A profit of nearly £9m in just over a year still makes this a strong deal for the club.

Rangers are safely through to the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals after a 4-2 win over Alloa at Ibrox.

Goals from Bajrami, Fernandez, Tavernier and Curtis sealed the victory, but the performance again left questions about consistency and intensity.

Rangers will now face Hibs or Livingston at Ibrox in the last eight.

Rangers are set to pocket a huge profit on Jefte, less than a year after signing him from Fluminense — and there’s a future sell-on clause too.

With Ridvan Yilmaz also expected to leave, Russell Martin may have to find two left-backs before the transfer window shuts.
