I came to my career as a dance and performance photographer initially by way of my background and training in Ballroom and Latin American dancing. The discipline and dedication to learning and mastering steps and routines combined with the desire to creatively and passionately perform to the best of my ability was like an addiction in my childhood. The creative personality found it’s way to a love
of photography, remembering the building anticipation during the processing polaroid or watching the print emerge in the developing tray. I have fond memories of feeling relief in opening the camera to learn I had succeeded in the reel loading and the joy experienced in collecting the packet of prints from the local chemist. I went to university following a desire to help people and have spent many years developing my career as an occupational therapist, specialising in hand therapy. The creative art of nurturing rehabilitation has been a pleasure to experience but the desire to return to my early passions resurfaced and I decided on a career break. I'm now based in Glasgow and am always in search of performers, fellow artists, events and interesting projects to keep the creativity flowing.
