Big congratulations to our Editor in Chief, Paul Brady, who won two Star Awards at last night’s ceremony!

He won ‘Best Article’ for his coverage of this year’s Glasgow Film Festival , where he interviewed A-List Actor James McAvoy.

He also won ‘Best Overall Contribution’ for his hard work throughout the year, increasing more print and digital output than ever before.

The team had a great night celebrating with other nominees such as who was nominated for their hard work as Deputy Editor of The EDIT.

Our amazing Head of Design was also nominated for his excellent work this year, making the designs more unique and appealing to everyone, bringing the magazine back to glory.

was also nominated for ‘Best Article’ for her incredible work covering student protests at Holyrood.

The team are all extremely grateful to the GCU Student’s Association and everyone who voted for the recognition of the hard work we have put into the magazine this year.

We wish all the success to next year’s committee at the 2025/2026 Star Awards. We are all rooting for you!!

Delighted to announce that The EDIT is now officially a member of the Student Publication Association (SPA).

This is an incredible achievement for The EDIT becoming SPA’s 30th Scottish Member on the 15th anniversary of the magazine.

Our first edition as a member of SPA will be the Glasgow Film Festival Edition. Which will be on shelves VERY soon, and trust me it will be worth the wait.
