A powerhouse jazz band has been tuning up and getting ready to bring the score for The MAD World of Harvey Kurtzman to life.🎷✨

The energy in the studio has been electric as these wonderful musicians prepare to fill the screen with emotional sound.
Stay tuned for more updates. The film is directed by Bart Simpson and is a co-production with Intuitive Pictures, supported in the UK by Screen Scotland and the UKGSF.

It was exciting last week for the CONSCIOUS team to meet at Dominik Scherrer's sound studio to listen to the music and soundscape of this great project. Congratulations to Suki Chan and all the team involved in getting closer to completing this journey.

Very excited to announce that my soundtrack to Marie Lidén's BAFTA nominated feature documentary 'Electric Malady' is now officially out on all major platforms!

Produced by Aconite Productions in association with Forest of Black and distributed by Conic, the film was originally released in 2022.

Despite its rather heavy subject, this score was a joy to write, with cello contributions from the amazing Pete Harvey.

Post-production is underway for The MAD World of Harvey Kurtzman, our co-production with Intuitive Pictures .

Our team had the pleasure of recently having director Bart Simpson in Scotland for a productive week with key creative people, including:

· Composer Marty Hailey
· The animation team at The 2D Workshop
· Editor Colin Monie

This film is proudly supported in the UK by the UK Global Screen Fund and Screen Scotland.
We captured some great moments (even managing to catch a sunny day in Edinburgh!)
