I´ve just had an amazing few days I got back from filming with Shaun Attwood in Bristol on Saturday night and my best friend treated me to a belated surprise birthday treat. So I was straight out the door to catch a flight from Glasgow Prestwick Airport and I arrived in Spain Corvera Murcia Airport - RMU 9am Sunday spent a couple of nights on Mar Menor Golf Resort and was then surprised again and pampered with a night stay in La Manga Spa hotel.
While I was in Spain this came out in Olive Press Spain´s biggest English language newspaper on page 03. Thanks to Walter Finch for the great article.
Flew back last night and "signed-on" this morning in freezing Barrhead so If anyone wants to fly me anywhere exotic I´m free until the 27th November when I´m filming Terry Stone´s podcast in London. Will have to pay expenses as I´m broke lol.

Acabo de pasar unos días increíbles. Volví de filmar con Shaun Attwood en Bristol el sábado por la noche y mi mejor amiga me hizo un regalo de cumpleaños sorpresa tardío. Así que salí directamente por la puerta para tomar un vuelo desde el aeropuerto de Glasgow Prestwick y llegué a España, aeropuerto de Corvera, Murcia - RMU, a las 9 a. m. El domingo pasé un par de noches en el Mar Menor Golf Resort y luego me sorprendieron nuevamente y me mimaron con una estadía de una noche en el hotel La Manga Spa.
Mientras estaba en España, esto salió en Olive Press, el periódico en inglés más grande de España, en la página 03. Gracias a Walter Finch por el excelente artículo.
Volé anoche y "me registré" esta mañana en el gélido Barrhead, así que si alguien quiere llevarme a algún lugar exótico, soy libre hasta el 27 de noviembre, cuando estoy filmando el podcast de Terry Stone en Londres. Tendré que pagar los gastos porque estoy en la ruina, jajaja.

Delighted to say that "Stormy waters" the song Berlin90 Berlin "Unofficial Page" recorded under armed guard after we won a recording session in a national music competition while I Allan McCarthy was imprisoned in a Spanish jail for drug trafficking in the 1980´s is being given it´s first UK radio airplay on "Finally Friday" on Paisley Radio on 11th October.

Allan McCarthy interviewed by Paisley Radio´s presenter Nia Scobie. This is Allan´s first interview on UK radio and the first time "Runaway" the song he recorded with his band Berlin90 Berlin "Unofficial Page" has been played on UK radio. It has taken over thirty years for the song to be released after it was recorded live in 1991 while Allan and his bandmates were inmates of a Spanish prison. The video for "Runaway" was filmed recently in Allan´s hometown of Barrhead by BAFTA award winning director Iain Henderson Iah En (Hendo Films) Sketchy Productions

Esta es la primera entrevista de Allan en la radio del Reino Unido y la primera vez que "Runaway", la canción que grabó con su banda Berlin90 Berlin "Unofficial Page", suena en la radio del Reino Unido. La canción tardó más de treinta años en ser lanzada después de que fuera grabada en vivo en 1991 mientras Allan y sus compañeros de banda estaban presos en una prisión española.
