🎧 New audiobooks now available on Audible

Two very different listens, now ready for walking, travelling, or quiet moments:
• Lost People by Margaret Elphinstone’s award-nominated novel leads readers on an exploration of the intricate connections between humanity and the diverse wonders of the natural world and is beautifully suited to listening.

• When Prayer Doesn’t Work by Margaret Somerville, read by the author,r and recorded on Iona itself, where the book first took shape, it is an honest, thoughtful exploration of faith when easy answers fall away, reflective, searching, and thought provoking.

You’ll find both audiobooks on Audible here:

Back at our desks, kettles on, notebooks open, screens waiting and waving hello 👋
If you’ve joined us recently: a very warm welcome. If you’ve been here a while: we’re really glad you’re still with us.
As the year unfolds, we’re looking ahead to new publications, author conversations on Zoom, and plenty of thoughtful words, the kind you can sit with, share, or quietly pocket for later.
A few gentle signposts if you’d like to stay in the loop:
Our bi-monthly newsletter brings you new titles, events, and what’s coming next
Thought for the Day is published daily on our website, and you can receive it on email, a small pause, freely offered every day. https://www.ionabooks.com/newsletter/
You can also send free e-cards from the site, because sometimes a few words are the best gift.
https://www.ionabooks.com/postcards/

We’d genuinely love to hear from you, what you’re reading, what you’re wrestling with, and what you’d like to see more of from us.
If your curiosity stretches beyond the page and towards the island itself, you’ll find details of visits and programmes over on the main Iona Community site, a good place to start planning, or dreaming.

Here’s to a year of good questions, challenging and fun conversations, and books that stay with you long after the last page.
Happy 2026 from all of us at Wild Goose Publications
