Panorama - Undercover Estate Agent on BBC last night. Wow what an eye opener and I encourage people to watch it if they’re considering selling. LC Estate Agents is independent and I do not have an in house mortgage broker or solicitor: people often ask me for recommendations and I will only recommend people I KNOW and TRUST will provide a good service for my clients. Anyone I recommend I know will make the process smooth for all parties but my main priority will always be my clients. I will always aim to ensure the best buyers for my clients.

NOTES - when offering on anything a property you do NOT need to speak to the selling agents mortgage advisors.

You do NOT need to use the agent’s recommended solicitors.

If you have a house to sell to allow you to buy then you do NOT need to use the same agent to sell yours.

If anyone is using these tactics - RUN a mile. They’re starting the processing already by using underhand and pressurised selling techniques. Do not fear challenging them if you’re told you’re more likely to have your offer accepted if you do X, Y or Z. It’s not ethical and it’s not right.

I can’t stress enough that just because a company is a large chain with a branch on every high street they’re the best. Watch this documentary and see why quite often they can be the worst.

If you don’t want to be just another number and want to actually matter. Want peace of mind your agent is working in your best interest please get in touch. What I can guarantee is honesty. No underhand tactics to win your business. No pressure will ever be placed on anyone to choose me. I hope my reputation and how I conduct myself speaks for itself.
