✨Meet The Team✨
Judith Bowers is a born story teller and performer, it just took a long time to get there and on the way she’s had many, many adventures.
She started life as a 👼baby👼and a professional dribbler (a skill she has never lost), then when she was a teenager she was a wanna-be pop star🎤and convinced she was going to marry David Bowie👩🎤.
Aged 16 somehow and quite randomly she began a short career as an archaeologist⛏️. Aged 18 her new found career gave her the opportunity to work in 🏴Scotland🏴 for six months (she’s from Weymouth in Dorset). It was a very long six months as that was 1986 and she’s still here.
Over the last few decades, she has also been a fortune teller, seamstress, tour guide (and founder of The Spirit of Glasgow Ghost Tour company), dresser to Jimmy Krankie, director and founder of The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall ( ) campaign as well as writing: The Best of Edinburgh & Glasgow 1996 (Absolute Press), The Obscure History of the Merchant City (Glasgow City Council), Stan Laurel and Other Stars of the Panopticon (Birlinn), Glasgow’s Lost Theatre (Birlinn), Sir Percival, 42 & The Dragon From Mars (self published), ✨The Magic Lantern Trilogy (which will be out on the 2nd November 2024)✨.
In addition she has researched/ written/ presented/ contributed to over 30 TV programs, including The Story of the Music Hall (BBC), The Story of the Shop Girls (BBC), Laugh I Nearly Died (Arteries series for STV), and regular features on: Skoosh (STV) in the 1990’s with a segment called Scary Scotland, The Riverside Show (STV Glasgow), and People’s History Show (STV). Now she is proud to be a part of the glamorous and gorgeous team Jasami Publishing & Productions CIC. 💚
