Massive thanks to Grave Ghoul for levelling the place with a headline set for the ages, and to Cremulation, Abysmal Decay, and Engulfed UK for dragging the abyss up with them and setting the tone perfectly for what was another sold out topper of an event!..

Cheers to the The Audio Lounge venue staff, and especially the brilliant audience – the pit dwellers, surf screamers, merch goblins and chaos conductors... you made it another one for the books. An absolute cracker throughout!

Another band announcement for Dead of Winter Fest, troops - and it’s a heavy one. Brace yourselves for:

*** DeathCollector ***

Off the back of their acclaimed 2023 debut Death’s Toll, these UK-based death metal maniacs have been carving a path of sonic devastation. Delivering pulverising old-school death metal with a sharp modern edge, Death Collector bring a sound that’s as feral as it is focused - a brutal homage to the genre’s roots, executed with an up to date precision.

Fronted by the hell-throated Kieran Scott (Ashen Crown), the band’s current lineup is primed for carnage: The recent recruited Rich Mumford (Malediction) brings extra low-end weight on bass, while Lee Cummings shifts over to join Mick Carey forming a scything dual-guitar assault. Behind the kit, Callum Warren now commands the drums, stepping into the lineup after the legendary Andy Whale.

If you're after a band that doesn’t just play death metal, but thrives in it - Death Collector are coming to claim their place.

Very pleased to announce that exceptional French goregrind pioneers will be tearing up the stage at Dead of Winter Fest...

*** Putrid Offal ***

Formed in 1990, Putrid Offal are one of the first bands to emerge from the French grindcore scene, and they’ve been sickening the underground ever since. Known for their brutal mix of grindcore, goregrind, and industrial elements, they’ve influenced generations of extreme music fans in.

The band have been unleashing their monstrous sound on European festivals and tours over the last decade. With standout releases like 'Mature Necropsy' and 'Sicknesses Obsessions' - Putrid Offal continues to evolve while staying true to their iconic sound.

Get ready for a brutal performance from a true French grindcore institution.

We are beyond thrilled to announce the first band confirmed for the 2026 Dead of Winter Festival III: "The Trilogy" - and it’s a big one:

*** TOXAEMIA ***

(UK Exclusive Performance)

For the very first time, legendary Swedish death metal pioneers Toxaemia will storm Scottish soil - live in Glasgow on the Saturday of Dead of Winter Festival III.

Formed in 1989 in Motala, Östergötland, Sweden, TOXAEMIA helped shape the early days of the Swedish death metal scene with their seminal demo Kaleidoscopic Lunacy (1990) and classic EP Beyond the Realm. This isn't just old school — no, it's 'original' Swedish death metal, straight from the source!..

This marks TOXAEMIA’s first-ever appearance in Scotland and the UK, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring them to our stage exclusively.

With the full lineup nearly finalised and ticket sales close to being released, this announcement kicks off what promises to be our biggest, boldest, and most fierce Dead of Winter Festival yet.

If the first two events set the standard, DoW-III: "The Trilogy" will raise the bar - with exclusive performances, extreme metal legends, and once-in-a-lifetime shows you won’t see anywhere else in the UK.
