It's Celtic Connnections time once again, and It's twenty years since Celtic Music Radio, and, indeed Celtic Country, first took to the airwaves. For the first two years, we were only on air during Celtic Connections , before we got a full time licence in 2008. Twenty years on Celtic Music Radio is still broadcasting the best of Celtic Connections, with special programmes from the Concert Hall during the weekdays, and The Danny Kyle Open stage, 5-7pm every night of the festival. On this week's Celtic Country, we've a few selected tracks from the playlist of the very first programme in 2006, including The Maryhillbillys ,an Australian based band, with Glasgow roots. Does anyone remember them ? Does anyone know anything about them ?-Are they still around ? We'd love to hear if they made any more albums.
