New signing on First Run Records! ✍️↘️

First Run Records are delighted to share a brand new single deal with Ayrshire based singer/ songwriter Jamie Scott! We will be releasing his excellent cover of Noel Gallagher’s ‘Dead in the Water’ on Wednesday 1st October 🌊

Jamie has an impressive back catalogue of releases as a vocalist and songwriter, with his recent offerings being ‘Remnants’, a collaboration with Nihil Young released through legendary Scottish house label, , and ‘The Sky’, teaming up with Keeper and MAESTRÖ via Floow Records. Jamie also boasts impressive streaming numbers, with just under 1.4 million streams on Spotify alone through his efforts as a vocalist and songwriter, signed to with a publishing deal. Produced by Ryan Hunter, this one takes Jamie in a fresh direction from his associated background in dance music! 🔥

Jamie said of the cover: “Dead in the water is a track that has resonated deeply with me since my very first listen. The lyrics by Noel Gallagher, speak of hope, resilience, and the belief that even in life’s hardest moments, love ultimately provides the answer. The words have always stayed with me, they carry the hope that things will get better and eventually balance out, even when it feels like you’re just existing. For me, this song is about holding on to love through it all.”
