Won’t lie. Absolutely Sh*te week. With a capital S 😂
We got what we needed done - but it took until this morning to finish! (Then we had to edit it quick for tonight’s upload)

We’re not ones to moan but sometimes you win and sometimes it takes all week. 🤷🏼‍♀️

but it’s a funny one - and unexpectedly extended..
So go laugh at our expenses for 40 long minutes!

So the story goes..

Once upon a time, around 200 years ago, a small, cute cottage was born in the Scottish highlands.. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏡

Standing proud with its pink granite face and brand new chimneys, with the cows living below and the humans upstairs an astroid came down from the skies and blew off the side of the house!! 😱☄️🔥

How do we know this?
Well.. I’ll tell ya - the left hand side of the cottage has clearly fallen down and has been rebuilt in breeze blocks, totally messing up the face of the house.

So Jesus or someone of higher powers sent in two determined Welsh folk to fix it 👫🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Testing their new found DIY skills, they set to work to fix the mess the astroid had made, using cut saws, measuring it out all to make new granite slips to re-face the house and make her beautiful once more.

So this week, we have.

The day was absolutely chocca block with love and laughter. Their friends became ours, their family became ours - what an absolute day of joy 💗💒

A very productive solo week at the house this week! Swipe for some VERY satisfying before and afters 🤤

Aimee was down in England on some v important auntie duties ♥️ so I held down the fought and made some HUGE progress in our little cottage. We are getting so close to making this our home we can actually live in. Place your bets, will we be in before Christmas 🎄 🤔?

Also enjoyed some time in our newly built bath house thinking about life and all the fun things we’ve experienced, the friends we’ve made and the memories we will make here and feeling extremely grateful ⚡️

Life is a series of events that can be such a rollercoaster, but having your people there to support you and trusting the process, is all part of the game of life. So if you’re in a place where you’re uncertain, just take a few deep breaths, focus on all the amazing people in your life and know that it’ll all work out exactly how it’s supposed to! ♥️

😱 Oh my goodness me - we have stud walls and door frames!

We’ve had an exciting and transformative few weeks up here in the Scottage BUT the excitement for dividing up the open plan space into our final rooms has taken OVER! (Insert that mad Kermit the frog meme here) 😆💃😆💃!!

From zero to 6 gazillion miles per hour, we are going to win Olympic medals soon for the ‘who can put their house together the quickest sprint!’ (If that was a sport 😏)

Flying we are. And with the help of our mates Nicky & Harri we could have got this house done in 2 weeks MAX if they’d have stayed 😂

We couldn’t have asked for better or more professional help when erecting the stud walls to create our rooms (we did do it wrong but we won’t mention that bit) thank you always guys for all your help ♥️ and I’ve heard we might be neighbours soon? 👀

We’re one step closer to putting in a toilet and a bed and calling this gem of a spot home 🥹🏡🌲
I’m going to be talking colour palettes with you all VERY soon 👀😬
