How do you tell a story about AI, rights and the future through the eyes of children?

That was the challenge Children’s Parliament brought to us. Working with four schools and 98 children across Scotland, they needed a way to bring an important conversation to life.

We created a film that centred young voices, supported rights-based practice and made a complex topic more accessible to the people who need to hear it.

The result was used at the Scottish AI Summit and shared across policy and advocacy networks.

We had a great week being part of RAAH/ Sheffield Hallam Uni, Film Beyond Borders Week. We ran a workshop on how to create a story, teaching participants how to use a camera, what to think about when filming, how to build a story and how to edit. But we also learnt a lot from them in return.

It was a lot of fun helping the groups to plan, film, and edit their short films, and watch them all in the cinema at the end. They produced some beautiful work. We were also honoured to be able to meet lots of new people and hear their stories.

Had a great week being part of RAAH/ Sheffield Hallam Uni, Film Beyond Borders Week. We ran a workshop on how to create a story. We taught people how to use a camera, what to think about when filming, how to build a story and how to edit, but we also learnt a lot from others.

It was a lot of fun helping the groups to plan, film, and edit their short films, and watch them all in the cinema at the end. They produced some beautiful work. We were also honoured to be able to meet lots of new people and hear their stories.
