Exciting news! We’re launching Making AI Work For You: Development Toolkit - a practical, interactive ScreenSkills course delivered by TRC.

Led by Development Executive and AI consultant Jenny Springett, this two-hour online session is designed for those working in unscripted development who want to move beyond generic AI outputs and use tools in a more purposeful, personalised way.

Expect practical demos, live experimentation, and honest conversation about where AI genuinely helps development, where it gets in the way, and how to use it without compromising editorial integrity.

Our SuperSizer delegates are in London this week! 🚄

They spent a packed day at Channel 4 meeting teams from Docs & Factual, Insights & Audience, Reality Entertainment, Specialist Factual and Scheduling. They were energised by a brilliant Netflix session with Luke McFarlane, who shared exactly how to pitch to the UK and US teams.

A breakfast with Fatima Salaria offered candid advice and thoughtful answers, before a busy afternoon at the BBC hearing from various department such as Planning, iPlayer, Commissioning and Digital.

They wrapped up the trip at Channel 5 today, with sessions covering production, audience insights, viewer data, demographics, and commissioning with Ben Frow.

A huge, inspiring few days for our Supersizers before they finish up later this month. 📝

There's only two days left to apply for rad Scotland!

Hear from Alaska and Sadie, who both began their career in TV through rad, on what led them to apply for the traineeship, what they did during the programme and why they wanted to work in TV.

Alaska started as a Production Researcher Trainee for BBC Studios Science Unit and has since stepped up to Researcher, while Sadie was a trainee Researcher for Tern TV and is now a Development / Casting Researcher.

Last month we welcomed the Channel 5 team to Glasgow for an in depth session on all things commissioning for the channel.

The panel, hosted by Presenter and Journalist Kirsty Wark, included:
• Chief Content Officer Ben Frow
• Commissioning Editor Denise Seneviratne
• Commissioning Editor Federico Ruiz
• Director of Insights Fiona Lennon
• VP, Audiences & Insight, Linda Daubrey
• Senior Production Executive Kerri Garson

The team shared a detailed look at 5’s commissioning strategy, audience insights, and what they’re looking for from producers across the UK.
