The curtain has come down on our final event. It has been a pleasure meeting our thousands of members who have attended the club over the last 27 years. We would like to thank everyone who gave us a chance and came along for their contribution to the club. It takes courage to come out on your own and meet new people and we have been grateful to the many members who have told us how much they benefitted from doing so.

We have so many happy memories of all the places we have visited, the people we have met and the laughs we have had. It has truly been the most wonderful journey. We both studied to be lawyers but have no regrets of the path we have taken.

We wish everyone a happy Christmas and lots of good times in the year ahead.

It is with heavy hearts that we have made the decision to close the Raeburn Supper Club at the end of this year.

We started the Supper Club in 1997 when we were both in our twenties and we have loved running the club for the last 27 years. We have fond memories meeting our thousands of members over the years at our wide range of events and we have particularly enjoyed getting to know our members over a longer period of time on our trips abroad to Budapest, Barcelona. Amsterdam and France and our weekends away in Scotland.

It has given us great pleasure to see new friendships formed and new soulmates found.

The Supper Club was badly hit in 2020 when the pandemic caused us to cancel all our events and quickly establish weekly zoom events in their place. We lost most of our members at this time but were very grateful to those who continued with their membership and made the best of the situation. The zoom events gave us much needed contact during a very isolating time and we hope that they were of help to our members also.

We were elated when at long last after seventeen months we were able to restart our events. However, the Supper Club has not been financially viable as a business since this time and unfortunately we have reached a point where it is impossible for us to continue.

We are very grateful to all of the members who have supported the club over the last 27 years but would like to say a special thank you to Anja and Steve who have helped us with our events and nothing has ever been too much bother for them.

Our final event in Edinburgh will be the Christmas Lunch at Twenty Princes Street and our final event in Glasgow will be the Christmas Lunch at Ralph and Finns. We would like to take the opportunity of the Christmas pre-lunch drinks for ourselves and Anja to say a final farewell and thank you to our members. We really hope that as many of our members as possible are able to make the Christmas lunches.
