A brilliant way to end the weekend. Not the fastest, but the heat was a factor ☀️☀️☀️.

I'm looking for "out of the normal" places to run. Distances don't have to be strictly 5k, I don't mind pushing to 10, as long as there's a challenge there. If you guys have any suggestions, let me know!

A slightly different parkrun this week...

This week was a little unusual, because I did my "parkrun" on a Friday instead of a Saturday.
No barcode. No finish tokens. No volunteer high-fives. And definitely no chance of being overtaken by a buggy!

Sometimes life gets in the way, but I still wanted to get the 5K done. It might not count towards the official total, but the miles still count, the fresh air still helps, and it keeps the Saturday morning routine alive... just 24 hours early.
Back to normal next week!

Have you ever had to swap your Saturday parkrun for a different day, or do you stick to the tradition no matter what?

Something that I achieved two weeks ago (and got the t-shirt yesterday).

When I started doing parkrun UK 10 years ago, I have to be honest, I didn't get it.

I get it now. Having re-started last year from parkrun 23, to now having completed 51, I've really enjoyed the journey.

And it keeps going....

Today's visit was to Greenock parkrun.

Although this was my 51st parkrun in total, there were a couple of firsts achieved here-

1. My first attempt at the esplanade.

2. My first time ever in Greenock when it hasn't rained ⛈️ (for context I worked in Greenock for 6 months and it rained EVERY day😂).

Really nice course, an out and back with a loop in the middle (quite similar to Erskine Waterfront parkrun ).

Best time in a few weeks despite the head cold hanging about. The flatness of the course helps 👍.

Lovely views of the Clyde all the way.

Definitely a thumbs up, will be back!!
