From the initial concept to final realisation, we take an enormous amount of care and time to ensure that, not only is the message of the film put across effectively, the participants learn from the process and crucially, have a tremendous amount of fun. A lot of our work is with people with learning disabilities, or young people, but we work with anyone who has a message to get across. Biggerhous

SAUL WEBBE

We are very sad to let you know that Saul Webbe one of our very dear Different Voices collaborators, passed away in his sleep on the 19th of June 2025.

Saul was one of the key people in our second Different Voices Films voices project in 2017.

Creator of the extraordinary and beautifully rendered set of characters called the Harmony Cubs, Saul made a fantastic little film explaining his process which you can see here.

Saul also linked us to our wonderful collaborators at the Cardiff Animation Festival This relationship has proved really dynamic for us and we can't thank Saul and his family enough for making this connection possible. It has greatly influenced our work.

Our hearts go out to his mum, Humie and the rest of his family.

In celebration of we are proud to launch ‘Together’ a fantastic animation made with the wonderful people from

Weeks of drawing, colouring in, singing, writing and recording, this was a super creative project for us, and we would love to do more like it.

TOGETHER
An evocative animated musical created by a group of adults with learning differences, this short film explores emotions, dreams, and everyday life. It captures the highs and lows of human connection, from moments of joy and creativity to struggles with self-identity. With raw authenticity, it paints a portrait of navigating our inner worlds and relationships. A powerful celebration of growth, vulnerability, and the beauty in simple moments, this film reminds us that togetherness is the greatest energy we can share.

Animation by Suzanne Deakin and composition by Mathew Olden.

Exciting news that our film 'We need to talk about…death' has been nominated for a national award in the Partnership Working Across Health and Social Care Award category for the 2025 Palliative Care Awards!

This award is all about collaboration and we could not have made the film without the fantastic contribution from the people from My Day - Day Services for Adults with Learning Disabilities.

The film was funded by NHS Somerset and was made to remove the taboo around talking about death and dying with people with learning differences.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, remember: nature doesn’t ask anything of you. It just is.

A quiet walk. A breath of fresh air. A river flowing by.

As Joyce said, “I’m part of the world.”

In nature, we’re allowed to just be—no pressure, no performance, just peace.

This week, Get outside. Close your eyes. Breathe.

“We need to talk about…death”

As part of Dying Matters Awareness Week (5–11 May), we had the pleasure of sharing our film with a bunch of very enthusiastic artists and film makers from Openstorytellers Frome

It was great to hear their comments on the film as they’d already been working in depth on this content themselves.

Thank you for hosting us I'm giving us the opportunity to show or film.

The Language of Death

Why do we say someone has “passed away” instead of “died”?

Today’s clip explores the strange and euphemistic ways we talk about death — and why it might be time to speak more directly and honestly.

“We need to talk about…death” continues the conversation with heart and humour.
