I’d warmly recommend checking out Charlotte Mabon’s new album, River of Soul, just released - a beautiful collection of poetic ‘medicine-folk’ songs sharing her journey as a mother as she navigates the joys and woes of our uncertain times. Despite themes of the anthropocene epoch, premature death and social injustice, her songs are full of hope, healing and enchantment ✨💖🥰🌟🍀🌞

There’s a launch gig at St John’s Church in Totnes this Saturday - for more info re the gig, the album and Charlotte, see link in my bio.

In the latest special musical episode of the 'Follow Your Blissters' podcast, Will Gethin AKA Conscious Frontiers talks to musician and soulful troubadour James Frost, whose breathtaking new album 'All of Our Hands' is more than just music – it’s a jewel borne from a life lived at the edges...

Walking away from the safety of job and home to follow a deeper calling, James took to the road on a musical pilgrimage that would last several years. Along the way, he birthed a powerful vision of creative collaboration, gathered over 100 singers and musicians, raised more than £20K through sheer passion and belief, and brought to life an awe-inspiring collection of songs, infused with nature and community spirit.

Sharing three tracks from his new album, this episode tells James’s remarkable story of leaping into the unknown, staying true to the call, and returning with a gift with the power to stir hearts and awaken dreams.

I loved the spontaneity with which my lates podcast conversation with James Frost came about....

On the day The Guardian published an article about a musical pilgrimage James had made across Britain, which included a visit to Glastonbury during Beltane - James called and said he was coming to Glastonbury for Beltane the next day, and within 48 hours we were in the GWS radio studio charting James’s wider musical pilgrimage of several years that lead to the creation of his stunning new album, All of Our Hands....

We also weaved in a few essential tracks from the album, including the Rumi-inspired ‘Where Everything is Music’ - with James throwing in the extraordinary tale about the piano on which this song was first written in old lady’s house, miraculously re-emerging several years later for the recording of this album track! Its an incredible story which you’d really need to hear in full to comprehend the remarkable synchronicity at play...

It’s been such a joy to share James’s journey which has borne some truly magical music.

In this conversation we explore James’s call to take a leap of faith and commit to his musician’s path – a path that would involve total immersion in nature and a life lived on the edges for several years, before he harvested the fruits of his quest – a vision of co-creative collaboration that brought to life his spellbinding new community-powered album, All Of Our Hands.

The episode includes:
· Leaving the safety of job and home to follow a deeper calling
· Life on the road - making/sharing music, inspired by nature
· “Manifesting the vision” - gathering over 100 singers and musicians and raising over £20K to make the album
· Three tracks from the album and the stories behind them

Really fascinating podcast conversation here – brilliant journalist Matthew Green interviewing Remi Olajoyegbe – former Goldman Sachs high-flyer and co-founder of Medicine festival – on his Resonant World podcast, unpacking Remi’s unusual journey from “investment banker to esoteric mentor”.

The episode deep dives into the backstory and essence of Medicine festival, explores Remi’s personal experience of grief and how it can be an initiation into a deeper calling, and introduces Remi’s groundbreaking new mentoring programme for women leaders - the Isumataq Collective - which infuses cutting-edge esoteric wisdom technologies, which Remi calls ‘New Old Ways’.

Well worth a listen, check it out!

From the 'void of success' at Goldman Sachs, to co-founding Medicine Festival, and launching her Isumataq Collective coaching and mentoring community for women.

Very happy to have placed this wonderful piece for musician James Frost in The Guardian today 🥰

The article recounts one of James’s musical pilgrimages across Britain which inspired his song ‘Olde England Alive’. Travelling from Norwich to Cornwall, James followed ancient trackways, connecting with the land and sacred sites, hearing people’s stories and discovering old English traditions and customs - including Beltane celebrations in Glastonbury!

Inspired by the Baka Pygmies of Cameroon, Baka Beyond doesn’t just play their music – they live it. Martin Cradick and Su Hart, the brains behind the band, were so moved by the Baka‘s spirit during their first visit to the Cameroon rainforest that they knew they had to share it with the world. Their album “Spirit of the Forest” catapulted them to global fame, but they’ve stayed true to their roots.

A night of world music and sounds not to be missed.
