Use leftover paint to make your own Christmas Tree decorations!

We bought some cheap wooden Christmas Tree decorations online then used leftover Wood Paint to decorate them. Our Wood Paint is specifically designed for exterior use so you can leave them outside on trees and bushes for the Christmas period.

Or if you have leftover Wall Paint ours is so durable you can also use that outside too!

We even used some leftover Swan White Peelable Glass Paint and Christmas Stencils to decorate the red bucket that the Christmas Tree was planted in🎄

Keep painting in winter with our high-performance resins that can be painted as low as 0oc

For simple advice on how to paint outside in cold weather with our Wood Paint, follow the link in our bio to our website where you’ll find a blog post and a downloadable pdf with handy tips and simple steps like:
• Get all of your prep work done in advance so you can get cracking as soon as there’s a window of good weather
• Start painting once surface dew has dried
• Only paint one coat in a day to give more time for coats to dry and cure, unless it’s a nice dry hot day then you can get a couple of coats in
• Make sure rain isn’t forecast that night or the following morning

Do you remember this Advent Dove Window from last year?

The very talented Emma Caplin painted this for her neighbourhood Advent Window trail using our Peelable Glass Paint in Swan White for the dove and Goblin Green for the sprigs with Dragon Red berries.

This classic, striking and elegant design went down well so we can’t wait to see what she creates this year. Watch out for the 19th!

Create Your Forever Advent Calendar 🎄

Christmas is an expensive time of year and there can be a lot of wastage starting with Advent Calendars, so why not make your own that can last a lifetime?

Four years ago my husband and I sat down with my children at the kitchen table with brushes, plastic fillable baubles bought online, and a Peelable Glass Paint Rainbow Pack with 6 x 40ml craft tins in all the colours of the rainbow and a 40ml tin of Swan White.

Taking 6 baubles each we let our imagination flow and painted 24 different designs for each day of advent leading up to Christmas Day. Once dry we filled the baubles with a chocolate then strung them together and hung them up across the window, ready to be plucked each day.

Every year they come up and get filled with different treats, waiting for our allotted advent days to arrive. With no packaging wastage it’s also a lot cheaper to buy chocolates or treats in bulk for filling the baubles.
