You'll remember this risk Thomas Hearn who we sting in 2023 , that got bailed and went round telling everyone hes been let off , but was subsequently sentenced after getting going guilty. He was moved around the region after being hounded out quite rightly by locals who'd seen the sting. In this time real victims came forward , and with our help were able to report historical offences to the officers in charge and finally after years of living in silence that victim starts her road to closure as Thomas Hearn from neath has finally been jailed for 32 months for historical s*x offences against children .

So much love for the victims and the victims family who've stayed strong and focused throughout and can finally live knowing that it did happen , it wasn't in her head and she isn't the mad crazy lier she's been made out to be.

If we sit back and take it nothing will change .

| We continue to receive reports of people in South Wales being targeted by fraudsters pretending to be undercover police officers.

➡️ In one such case, reported to us in February, a woman in her 70s from Swansea was contacted by someone who said he wanted to talk to her about how to avoid fraud.

The caller moved on to ask whether she had any cash at home – and when she said she did, he asked her to read out the bank notes’ serial numbers, before claiming that they were forged. 💷

Continuing the deception, he said he would arrange for an undercover courier to visit her home address to collect these bank notes, which were in fact genuine. The victim was given a code and told she could pass it to the courier, again in a bid to make it all seem more plausible.

⚠️ Once this fake detective had established a rapport with the victim, he continued to call her, asking her to withdraw thousands of pounds from her bank. He even offered to accompany her to the bank to try and help complete the withdrawal in person.

Our specialist staff and officers are now supporting the woman, and the investigation into this incident is continuing. 🚔
