🎙️ Listen to 'The Power of Intuition' with Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir

In this latest episode of The Evolving Leader podcast, hosts Scott Allender and Emma Sinclair explore how intuition can help us navigate complexity with guest, Icelandic author and sustainability leader Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir. During this fascinating conversation, Hrund shares both research and practical tools that enable leaders to tune into a deeper intelligence and act with clarity in these turbulent times.

This episode challenges the idea that intellect alone is enough. Hrund invites us to balance rational analysis with intuitive awareness so we can make wiser choices for ourselves, our teams, and the systems we lead.

🎙️ RELEASED TODAY - How to Decide with Jon Bircher 🎙️

Today we celebrate the start of Season 8 of The Evolving Leader podcast during which co-hosts Jean Gomes and Scott Allender were excited to be joined by decision coach Jon Bircher. Drawing on years of experience in coaching and strategy consulting, Jon unpacks why despite being a skill that every leader depends on, decision-making is a skill that very few are taught.

How can we make better decisions? How can leaders build habits that lead to clearer, more confident outcomes? This episode offers practical insights into the emotional, cognitive and cultural dynamics that shape how we decide - from slowing down to reflect, to creating space for diverse thinking, to learning from the decisions that don’t go to plan.

This is essential listening.

“Is it worth it?”

That’s the question your brain is asking, quietly, constantly, every time you decide whether to act.

In our latest episode of The Evolving Leader, neurologist and author Professor Guy Leschziner joins us to explore the biology behind some of our most human experiences: sleep, anger, pride, envy, motivation.

Professor Leschziner talks about why sleep matters more than we think, how perception differs wildly between people (and why that matters for leadership), and what neuroscience reveals about behaviour, accountability, and free will.

It’s a fascinating conversation that challenges a lot of assumptions, and offers new ways to think about ourselves and the people we lead.

When we envisaged the The Evolving Leader Podcast it was born out of a desire to better understand what shifts in leadership were needed to adapt to new realities, but most importantly to secure a more positive future for the world. As we look back over hundreds of conversations during a period of radical uncertainty, this agenda couldn't be more important.

During the rest of this year, we're working on the next evolution of this enquiry to bring to you something new in 2026. We aim to create an even more urgent and valuable resource as we face an uncertain and automating future.

S7 Ep23 of The Evolving Leader is now live and it raises an important question relevant to us all. Have you ever wondered how the climate is shaping the way that you think?

During this important conversation with neuroscientist and journalist Clayton Aldern, cohosts Jean Gomes and Scott Allender explore how environmental change (especially rising temperatures) is quietly influencing the way we think, decide, and lead. You’ll hear how heat affects cognitive function, the hidden neurological costs of stress, and why our relationship with the world around us is becoming central to leadership effectiveness.

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, this is a conversation worth your time.

Alister McGrath (Professor Emeritus of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford and author of 'Why We Believe - Finding Meaning in Uncertain Times') joins hosts Jean Gomes and Scott Allender to explore why belief isn’t just personal, but fundamental to leadership. In an age of uncertainty and polarisation, how can leaders hold strong convictions without closing themselves off to others? This is a conversation about navigating ambiguity, rethinking certainty, and leading with intellectual humility.

One not to miss.
