The Boxed Year has well and truly Kicked Off!

After a quiet Jan/Feb to recharge the batteries, our TV work ramped up with Varsity Rugby (Onside Productions), Womens Super League (Vivid/Sky), Netball Super League (QTV/Onside/Sky), British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Big Wednesday, GT Cup, GB3 Championship & GB4 Championship and BUCS Super Rugby Final (all Onside) along with Graduation Streams at London Barbican (42 Live).

We opened the Pyrobox with Fuse Fireworks in Wales including teaching the next generation of Firers with the British Pyrotechnists Association.

Finally we opened the Lightbox with ‘We Will Rock You’ (Mark Johnson/HAOS Productions/Sound & Light Concepts Ltd) at the Victoria Theatre Halifax and were on hand to light the Our House Courtyard Party (Sound & Light Concepts).

A busy (tough at times due to LOTS of water!) but rewarding weekend at The Arches Dean Clough with BOXED on lighting duties supporting Dale Castell and Our House for Sound & Light Concepts Ltd.

Everyone brought the party vibe despite the classic British downpour!

Broadcast Season has arrived! This weekend is our second outing in February with our awesome friends at Onside Productions. This time around, the annual trip to Sheffield for 3 days of Live coverage for the BUCs Nationals - Indoor Athletics 2026.

We had the pleasure of supporting the cast and crew for ‘TinselTown’ for a few days at Theatre Royal Wakefield for this filming back in early 2025.

Really looking forward to seeing this beautiful old Matcham showcased on the silver screen!

A couple of cracking shots from the opening night of Halifax Light Opera’s production of ‘The Band’ a touching story with the soundtrack of the Take That back catalogue.

Hello November! The end of a hugely busy October for Boxed Technical.

We started the month with Motorsport TV at Donington & Snetterton for GB3 Championship, GB4 Championship and GT Cup, then on to Tottenham Stadium for the coverage of NFL Academy, all with the lovely people at Onside Productions.

A swift hop across London for the TV Record of ‘Clash of the Comics’ at Hammersmith Apollo for UKTV.

A trip north and a change of box and we were on hand to provide Technical Management at Leeds School of Art, one of the venues for Transform Festival 25 with our friends at Reverse Triangle.

Finally as November approaches, we opened the Pyro Box with shows at Elvington Airfield, Alexandra Palace and Blackheath Common, all with our awesome friends at Fuse Fireworks.

On to November which promises to be just as action packed!

Well it’s been a monster July (so far!) for Boxed Technical with barely enough time to take a breath!

We started late June opening the Lightbox to support LD Emmanuel Biard with a custom remote lighting control solution (and operation) for the world premiere of Blackhaine’s ‘And Now I Know What Love Is’ at Manchester International Festival.

A quick detour during the fit up for 3 days of lighting for ‘Voices Together’ (bringing schools from across the Calderdale district to perform together over 3 days at the beautiful Victoria Theatre Halifax) for Calderdale Music.

After another stint of show duties in Manchester, we deployed the Aerobox to operate LIVE Drone for 4 days of British Rowing Championships for Onside Productions at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepoint, Notts.

We round out the month at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone with our friends at Onside Productions.
