To my Followers, sorry I haven’t been very active lately with the fishing, to keep it all going I have been really busy with work commitments, it’s expensive running a boat these days. Well myself and Neil Buckett fished together in the Sea Angling Classic onboard Nana T, day one we got in the top 10 plenty of action with Smoothounds, Tope and Rays a few bream. Day 2 was harder as we couldn’t find the Tope but managed some good hounds and a nice ray. We fished hard on the final day it didn’t help with w**d covering the baits but managed to get 13th place in the match. Many thanks to Ross Honey and his family for organising such an amazing event. Not forgetting the sponsors Crewsaver, Lowrance and Yeti. Looking forward now to the next one in 2026.

Had another go for a Solent unicorn today for the last time for the season, armed with a couple of pound of fresh lug worm, didn’t get pestered with congers all day on the worm baits and target fish acheived!!

Had a trip up the Solent today on the hunt for a cod or should I say a unicorn, had a mate with me who was desperate to find one. We were fishing quite a big tide and we were on 1.5lb of lead within an hour of the west run we started to get the usual vermin such as eels and doggers and Steve had a half descent bite on cuttlefish within ten minutes we had our first codling on the boat for Steve. Then another one for me near the end of the day on a whole cuttlefish. The fish were not massive but target fish achieved!!
