Every so often I am reminded of how much of an impact I have made in people’s lives because I was a small part in their special day. I received this just now from New York;

Hi Malcolm, I am so happy to see you are doing well and congratulations on your honour. Marvelous.

I certainly don’t expect you to remember, given it is few years ago now, but in 1993 you were the videographer for my marriage to Deborah Collins. We recently had your tape converted to dvd and the footage bought back all of the memories of such a wonderful day. Your editing and commentary are just remarkable and made us hoot, you are so talented and I can’t thank you enough for such a lovely memory.

Where are they now? Well I am pleased to report that Deborah and I are still happily married, having celebrated our 30th anniversary last year. As for Dawny, my sister - you clearly enjoyed pronouncing her name - got married herself last year. Not one to rush things is Dawny. And little Jamie - ‘I am fwree’ - to which you replied that he sounded like a liberated bird, is now coming up to his 34th birthday.

So thanks again Malcolm, your work touched our lives and I am forever grateful. All the very best.
