Janice & Charlie are Reach out Care’s Every Day Hero, they were nominated by their supervising social worker Terri for their continuous commitment and the care they provide to the children in their care despite the support that the children need has been delayed. They work tirelessly to ensure all of the children are heard and go over and above in what they do with little complaining.

Ninja Warrior fun! 🥷

NFA North hosted two Ninja Warrior events, one in Leeds and one in Sheffield, and it was fantastic to see so many children take part.

58 children joined us in Leeds and 42 in Sheffield, each getting an hour to tackle the Ninja Warrior course before refuelling with pizza, nuggets, chips and juice.

A brilliant turnout and a brilliant day all round!

NFA South East foster carer Jane has been fostering since 2023 and has already shown an incredible level of commitment and care. Recently, she was recognised with an Everyday Hero Award for the difference she is making.

The young person she supports shared how he feels safe, listened to, has new opportunities, and is making great progress thanks to Jane’s dedication.

After experiencing a difficult childhood, Fiza knew from a very young age that she wanted to open her home to children that needed a safe place to land.

Since being approved to foster in 2014, Fiza and her family have gone on to care for many children, from a three day old baby to a 17 year old young offender.

Our young people had a great morning at Bridgend Golf Club playing Footgolf ⚽ so much fun and the weather was perfect 🌞

Paddling pools are a great way to have fun and cool down in the warmer weather. But it’s important to remember little ones can drown in just a few cm of water.

That’s why it’s so important to keep little children in arms reach when they’re in or around the paddling pool.

It’s also wise to empty paddling pools after use to stop children falling in accidentally or entering them unsupervised.

And, don’t forget to store or turn over your paddling pool when it’s not in use to prevent it from filling with rainwater.

Yesterday, we said our final farewells to Carole and Steve, who have retired from fostering after 18 years.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in their honor and loved hearing their stories about their fostering journey. Thank you for sharing those special times with us.

We will all miss you terribly. You should be incredibly proud of all that you have achieved and the children you have helped during their most difficult times. We are all proud to have called you ours!
