This simple copying activity is more than just drawing. It helps children develop focus, concentration, visual attention, hand control, and coordination all important foundations for handwriting.

When children learn to look carefully at a shape, understand it, and reproduce it on paper, they’re practising the same skills they’ll later need for writing letters and numbers.

So before expecting perfect handwriting, give them opportunities to observe, copy, draw, and practise. These little activities build the foundation for confident writing as they grow. ❤️

Since my daughter started school, finding time to teach her about our faith alongside her regular studies hasn’t always been easy. Our routine is so hectic, but I didn’t want faith to become something we only talked about when we had “extra time.”

So I made this our little time to connect, talk about Allah, and build her faith in a way she can understand. 🤍

I print these simple activities, keep them ready, and whenever we have 15–20 minutes, we sit together and do one. Sometimes it’s in the morning before school, and sometimes after school when she just needs some quiet time with me.

While she colors, traces, matches, or plays, we talk—about Allah, His creations, good manners, gratitude, and the little things around us that remind us of Him.

And that’s what I love most. She’s learning, asking questions, sharing her thoughts, and building a connection with her faith without feeling like she’s sitting down for another lesson.

Because we may not always have hours to teach our children, but 15 meaningful minutes can create a connection that stays in her heart. ❤️

You can also make 10–15 minutes of meaningful faith time part of your child’s routine.
