I've realised what I'm on this planet to do!

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I know that might sound strange, given that I've been running my own business for nearly 3 years...

But after coming home from Peakefest on Friday I had an epiphany 🤯

I was sitting on my sofa, thinking about all the things I had seen, heard and talked about over the 2 day event and what it means for me going forward and suddenly it hit me like a cricket bat 🏏

You see, I've been struggling with how all the elements and aspects of what I do fit together... they're all me, sure, but what is it about me that makes them all fit?

And on Friday night it hit me 😱

I am on this planet to help others to grow, succeed and fly (not literally 😆)

THAT'S where my true passion, power and purpose lie 😍 In bringing out the best in others!

Last night it was so obviously right when one of my Scouts gave me this tiny plant in a pot that says "Thanks for helping me GROW" 💜💚

And on my way home from Scouts I called Verity Curryer to excitedly tell her of my epiphany and all she had to say was "I'm so glad you can finally see what I've seen in you for years" 😂😂😂😂

Knowing why you are on this planet is a powerful thing 💪

Who wants to work with me and see how much I can get them flying?

Happy anniversary darling 💖

Today marks 7 years of being married to the biggest kid I ever met 😂

I used to get asked "how do you put up with him all the time?" And honestly, I used to answer "The military sends him away a lot" 😂😂😂

But the truth is, he's my biggest cheerleader 🥳

This weekend I've had a shift of focus within my business and all he asked was "will this shift bring you the income you deserve?" 🥰 not the income I want, the income I deserve 💜💚

He sees my value, my experience, my expertise and my dedication to my clients and supports me even when he doesn't fully understand 😍

You can't buy support like that!

Last week I asked you if you would be confident to speak in front of hundreds of people...

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

This week I only went and bloody did it myself! 🥳

Yesterday at Peakefest I was asked (along with 2 other ladies) to give a 5 minute talk about myself and my business...

Was I nervous? Hell yes! 🤯

Did I plan my talk? Nope! 🫣

Have I had lots of compliments on my talk since I did it? Yup! 🥰

The message of my talk? Talking to a crowd is scary... but talking to your target audience on social media is easy with my help 💜💚

Peakefest this year has been all about being visible and I made sure I was 😍

And I couldn't resist, once I'd told the audience my reputation for selfies on social media, getting as many people as I could in for this EPIC group selfie! 🥳

24 hours to go!

I can't believe it's nearly here! I've been looking forward to this event for a while, and it's almost upon me!

I often tell my clients about the importance of being visible when growing your business online (ironically it's something I've been struggling with this week) and now I'll be off to a two-day event to learn more about it's importance 😍

This is the first event that I have ever gotten involved in the pre-event networking groups - and I can't wait to meet the people I've been chatting with IRL 😍

There will be some people there that I will be truly "fan-girling" over 🥳 it's going to be an amazing two days!

I spent the day camped out at the Social Media and Community Marketing talks yesterday and everyone wanted to know if they should be using trends, trying to set trends or just leaving trends alone...

Speakers were coming down on all sides of the debate...

I've just arrived for day 2 of the Digital Marketing World Forum - London event and it think today I'll spend most of the day at the Content & Video Marketing talks 😊

I no longer recognise my own face...

🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

Is that even possible?

You know when you say a word over and over again until it no longer sounds like a word? That's how I feel about looking at my face right about now...

Yesterday, the fabulous and amazing Nicola Auckland Photography shared my photos from my photo shoot I had with her a few weeks ago for me to select my favourite 300 (!) 📸

To cheer myself up after a horrible start to the week, I decided to have a quick peek at the photos 👀

I was not disappointed! They're amazing!!! (No, the one below is not one of them, it's the last photo on my phone I had of me and Nicola)

But! Now I feel like I no longer recognise myself as I have looked at so many different versions of my own face and smile 😂😂😂

Will this loss of self-awareness fade away? I hope so 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I can't wait to share the photos with you once I've made my selections! 😍

Thank you for being so patient! Last week I announced that something new was happening with The Social Dragonfly, but I wasn't able to announce it right away...

🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫

But now the time is here! I'm finally able to announce it!

You see, it wasn't wholly my secret to tell 🤫

But now that my co-conspirators have announced it, I can announce it too 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I've agreed to work with the amazing Verity Curryer again! 💜💚

"What does this mean? Is Social Dragonfly dead?" Absolutely NOT!!!

I will still be here supporting businesses to fly on social media with training, mentoring, coaching and full account management services (outsourcing), but I'm helping Verity run her amazing Tower Tribe group as it continues to grow 🌱

Verity was my boss back before I grew my wings and took flight on my own, and we have continued to be fierce friends. We have always been there to support each other as we have grown our businesses individually 💙🦒💚💜🧚🏻‍♀️

When The Tower Tribe has needed someone to step in to run the sessions, Verity has reached out to me to ask me to help as she supports and trusts me and my coaching style is the best substitute for her when she hasn't been available.

As The Tower Tribe has grown, she knew she needed someone to support her and her members on a more continuous basis. I was delighted when she contacted Nikki Coburn and me to join her! 😍

This is just another way for me to showcase my passion for building up other entrepreneurs and supporting them as they grow into something amazing! 🚀

I hope you'll be equally as excited as I am for this new arrow to my quiver 😉🏹

How powerful is your personal brand?

💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜

As many of you know, I had my brand photoshoot with Nicola Auckland from Nicola Auckland Photography yesterday 📸

We went to two locations where I had experience of being recognised and unrecognisable! 🫣

The first was at the pub where I work part time... a member of staff did not recognise me with my hair down, full makeup on and wearing my business clothes (I work in the pub with my hair braided, wearing jeans, a black tshirt and trainers) 😆😆😆

It makes me laugh when business contacts have the same experience in reverse when they come to the pub and I'm working 🤣

When we later went to my Scout Hut (where I'm usually seen with my hair tied back and in clothing suitable for activities) I saw a couple of Cub Scouts...

I heard one little girl ask the other "Who is that?"

The reply her sister said made my heart soar 😍

"That's Flick. I can tell because of all the dragonflies"

💚💜💚💜💚💜

Dragonflies are a huge part of who I am 🥰 to be recognised based solely on someone seeing a lady with dragonfly accessories is a dream for me!
