Next time you think you're booking someone local on the internet, think again!

Someone today told me they booked "Pete at Bottesford Aerials" to do a job on Wednesday.

After 25+ years working in the Vale I know that only myself and C&N are local to Bottesford, so I did some Googling.

When I googled Aerials Bottesford this company appeared, but it was soon apparent that they are based in YORKSHIRE and their website changes its description, depending which town/village you put in.

If you google your village name + aerials, their website says they are literally in your village, but its ALL fake, even their aerial pics are AI generated.

If you want someone local, use the LOCAL village Facebook groups, the Village Link magazine or thoroughly check who you are using, especially if they ask you for a deposit before any work or visit!

Another day, another Starlink setup.
This time out at Car Colston on the north side of Bingham.
As with many rural villages I go to,they were struggling for speed via traditional phone line (BT/EE etc) but already had Starlink installed at other properties.

Is spring finally here?

Lots going on recently with aerials, dishes, Starlink and repairs in Grantham, Bottesford, Allington, Caythorpe, Long Bennington and the Vale of Belvoir.

Luckily I managed to dodge the rain with some loft aerial installations on the new build houses on Barrowby Road and other parts of town, plus wall mounting and some wifi solutions.

I have plenty of availability for the end of Feb and March, so if you're moving house, have signal issues or just looking for advice, please get in touch.

Beautiful views today from Allington and Barrowby Gate!
Made the most of the weather today with a couple of new aerials, repairs and a bit of tv tuning.

Last job done before Santa gets here.
Old Sky dish and perished LNB replaced for freesat.
Seeing a lot of these now as dishes become rusty etc after 15+ years.
Big thanks to all my customers who have supported a small local business this year and not the big "Google" call centres they promote.
The Grantham and Village Link Magazines are your best way to get genuine local tradespeople!

Beautiful sunny view from Grimston today while installing Starlink Internet for a customer.
