My retro console streaming / Youtube recording setup is finally complete, at least for the SNES!

I am using an Kaico OSSC upscaler/line doubler + the amazing Marseille MClassic real-time hardware AI graphics filter and smoother + a Flint 4K Plus with passthrough to record in OBS Studio in 1080p while playing the game with zero lag on my monitor!

I can add in cameras showing me playing the game, and microphone feeds etc etc - that is the easy part, I have done a lot of live AV streaming before.

Very happy with this setup. Yoshi's Island looks amazing with it.

I keep getting views on this page (no idea why) so I thought I should add something here:

I have put the retro gaming streams on hold until I have more time.

I may actually instead make Youtube videos as I'm not honestly that great at gaming, and watching me run around in circles is probably not going to be great viewing :)

Played Viewtiful Joe 1 on the GameCube on my Twitch stream and it worked awesomely!

I have decided that there are WAY too many Twitch channels out there already, so I will infrequently stream pop-up retro gaming sessions on my main DJDavidCraddock channel.

Was really happy with the way the whole thing tunred out - the colour reproduction of the cell-shaded Capcom underground classic Viewtiful Joe 1 was great once I'd tweaked it on OSSC, and the graphics style and gameplay has aged very well!! Will definitely be streaming this again!

I'm excited to say that, due to starting my new job, and expecting my first real paycheque in at least 3 years, I will be in a position by next month to start doing my gaming streams again!

I am buying an internal Elegato HDR4k60hz video capture card, which should be sufficient to capture just about everything in my gaming setup.

I plan to create a new, seperate, Twitch.tv channel presence, not just focused on retro gaming, but gaming in general, which will give me more scope to do things like broadcast Cyberpunk 2077 streams.

Of course I will also be doing retro gaming streams too, as well as modern gaming, with my small arsenal of retro consoles and games.

This will be run in parellel with my DJ streams, which will continue as normal.

Decided to put my retro gaming weekly stream on hold due to technical issues.

The £30 video capture card I bought doesn't seem to handle any of the systems at all well apart from the Megadrive.

So I have to upgrade to the £170 video capture card. And I can't afford it right now, so it will have to wait.

I will relaunch the stream once I've got those issues ironed out - I'm determined to make a success out of it!

Tonight at 6pm UK time, I do my 4 hour retro gaming stream with a random game which will be revealed on stream, one which I haven't decided yet!

As always, it will be using the ORIGINAL official console, original official media and official controllers, no emulation, and sent via my OSSC FPGA upscaler into my broadcast computer, which will add my camera and voice and broadcast it on Twitch!

Did my first retro stream, playing Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting on the original Sega Mega Drive II!

It all seemed to work well, and I will be doing another stream next week at 6PM UK time.

I will advertise it this time, and make sure people know about it.
