🚧 Bangor Waterfront – September 2026 Update

Not a massive amount of visible change since my July visit, although the site had some downtime over the summer.

The workers are now back and work is underway again, so hopefully the next few months will bring some more noticeable progress.

🚧 Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment – September 2026 Update

Back above the Bangor Waterfront redevelopment for another look at how things are progressing.

Truth be told, there hasn’t been a huge amount of visible change since my last update in July. The site did have a period of downtime over the summer, but work is now underway again and the crews are back on site.

These regular updates are all about documenting the redevelopment from start to finish, even during the quieter stages.

Coolmoyne House Comes Down 🏗️

Aerial footage of Coolmoyne House in Dunmurry as the demolition continues.

Rather than being brought down all at once, heavy machinery is slowly dismantling the building piece by piece.

A familiar local landmark gradually disappearing from the skyline.

🚫 TEMPORARY NO DRONE ZONE – BELFAST FLEADH

A Temporary Restricted Airspace has been established over Belfast during the Belfast Fleadh festival.

The restriction has been introduced by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Secretary of State for Transport under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016 for public safety and security.

⚠️ Unauthorised drone flights within the restricted area are prohibited and may result in prosecution.

🌊🚁 Whitehead, County Antrim

The sun was shining, but the weather had other ideas!

The wind was simply too strong for my wee drone to safely capture the kind of smooth flyover I normally like to produce, so here’s a single aerial view of the beautiful Whitehead seafront instead.

Even on a windy day, it’s easy to see why Whitehead is one of County Antrim’s most picturesque coastal towns.

Have you visited Whitehead before?

🚧🚁 Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment – July 2026 Update

Another month, another aerial look at the Bangor Waterfront redevelopment.

I’ll be honest… there hasn’t been a huge amount of visible progress since my last update, but that’s the reality of large construction projects. Sometimes the biggest changes aren’t the most obvious from above.

It’ll be interesting to see how things develop over the next few months as work continues.
