Final preparations for Lincolnshire town's flower parade

Final preparations are being put in place for this year's Spalding Flower Parade.

The Lincolnshire town will see dozens of floral floats drive through the town on Saturday.

More than a million tulips have being picked by an army of volunteers to decorate the displays.

Skegness: Five held on suspicion of attempted murder

Lincolnshire Police said officers responded to reports of a man being hit with a metal pole on Roman Bank shortly after 22:00 BST on 1 May.

The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries in the attack, the force said.

Brayford Pool: Man's body found in early hours in Lincoln

Lincolnshire Police said it was alerted to a man in the water close to the flyover bridge at 00:40 BST.

Officers retrieved the man's body from the water with help from fire service colleagues but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drink-driver Jack Burkhill admits killing teen Felicity Pacey in Denton crash

An "intoxicated" driver has admitted causing the death of a 17-year-old girl in a crash after the car hit speeds of 100mph (160km/h), a court has heard.

Felicity Pacey, a passenger in a Hyundai, died at the scene of the crash on Belvoir Road, in Denton, Lincolnshire, on 9 June 2023.

Drivers get anti-social orders for doing doughnuts in Skegness

The cars spun their wheels to produce smoke and carried out "doughnuts" leaving tyre marks on the road, Lincolnshire Police said.
