The Cancer Alliance has partnered with Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness of prostate cancer in Hull and Scunthorpe through a beermat campaign in 30 pubs, featuring a QR code to check risk. Rob Sharpe, owner of The Avenue pub in Hull, supports the initiative, believing pub-goers may be more open to discussing symptoms. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with a higher risk for Black men and those with a family history. Mark Rogers, urology consultant, emphasised the importance of early detection. Richard Attack, diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer, urges men to seek help if they notice symptoms.

The East Lindsey Investment Fund, with a £10million budget, has allocated £7.83million for community development, tourism, business support, and area enhancement projects. This includes a £1million 'Pride in Place' community grant, £1.8million for tourism, £1.25million for improvements, and support for projects like the restoration of Harrison Woodlands. Councillor Craig Leyland expressed his excitement about the fund’s impact, stating it will drive positive change and establish East Lindsey as a leading tourist destination.

The Council introduced Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) in July 2019 to address anti-social behaviour and irresponsible dog ownership, aiming to improve the quality of life in local areas. These orders must be reviewed every three years, and to renew them, the public is being asked for feedback through a consultation. The consultation closes on Friday, 14th March 2025. The Lincs Wedding Show reaffirmed its status as Lincolnshire’s leading wedding event, drawing hundreds to Grimsby Auditorium for a day of inspiration and planning. With over 120 exhibitors, couples explored bridal fashion, photography, venues, transport, and entertainment. Highlights included breathtaking gowns, expert styling for grooms, luxury wedding transport, and stunning venue showcases. Aimee Lince Photography impressed with premier photography, while Love and Sparkle Events won the Exhibitor Prize Draw. Guests also had the chance to win tickets to the Gareth Gates Love Songs Show. A must-attend event for couples planning their dream wedding!
