A woman has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which prevents her from entering Morrisons and B&M in Guisborough. ⛔ 👮
The order was applied for by Cleveland Police and expires on 2nd September 2027.
Under the order, 36-year-old Rebecca Hunter will have to leave any retail store if she’s asked to leave by staff and/or officers.
She must not use threatening, intimidating or abusive words and must not enter the area bounded by Helmsley Drive, Stakesby Close, A171 and Brockrigg Court.
Any breaches of the order could result in an arrest, fine or even jail time.
🗣️ Redcar Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) Inspector Neil Deluce said: “Everyone has the right to enjoy our town centres and go about their daily business in peace. We won’t tolerate any behaviour which prevents that from happening.
“I hope this order reassures residents and retail staff that we will continue to work with partner agencies to keep our towns a safe and enjoyable place to be. Where CBOs are breached we will always seek to put those responsible before the courts.”
