🌅 The Sundown Sessions is back tonight from 8pm on Sundown Radio.

Tonight we're heading all over the place, which is exactly how I like it.

There’s a welcome return for Chikinki, alongside Minneapolis post-punk pioneers The Suburbs. We’ll have some glorious pop from Alison Moyet, while shame and the unmistakable Amyl and The Sniffers bring things firmly into more recent territory.

Elsewhere, expect a little PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING, the wonderful Gwenno, something beautifully understated from CAT POWER, and plenty more that I’m keeping under wraps until tonight.

There are a few unexpected turns in this one too. Exactly what a Tuesday night needs.

🌅 Sundown Sessions - LIVE tonight from 8pm

Tonight’s playlist is shaping up to be another journey through alternative music after dark - and, as usual, we’re not staying in one place for very long.

Expect music from The Cure, Muse, The Damned, The Stranglers (Official), courtney barnett, Radiohead, and Big Country, alongside some glorious rock ’n’ roll from The Detroit Cobras.

And somewhere along the way we’ll be turning things up with AC/DC, and ZZ Top, before heading off in a few other directions too.

Some familiar favourites. Some tracks you might not have heard for years. And hopefully something you’ve never heard before.

🌙 A quick Sundown Sessions update…

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to cancel tonight’s Sundown Sessions due to a technical issue with the studio microphone.

I’d much rather cancel the show than put out a broadcast that isn’t up to the standard I want it to be.

Apologies to everyone who was planning to tune in tonight, and thank you for understanding. Hopefully the technical gremlins will be evicted quickly and normal service will resume next week!
